Covid 19 - A mesaage of hope

As we travel through this very strange and challenging time along with the rest of the world, it can be difficult on many different levels. Listening to the media can be encouraging but equally we can become frightened, discouraged or depressed. About two evenings ago I found myself in a very low place. I was surrounded by a darkness that threatened to overwhelm me as I heard the continuing global statistics of death on our planet due to the virus. I had temporarily forgotten that in the shifting sand that is our world today God is our one constant. Once I turned back to Jesus I felt different, He stopped me drowning in despair and gave me hope for the future. “For I know the plans I have for you. . . ." (Jeremiah 29:11). I would like to share with you a poem that I accidently came across, although I now believe it was no accident.
God Bless

A conversation with my saviour
By Betty Kelly Lynch

You have only to ask and I will be listening,
Speak from your heart and I promise to hear,
Then walk away trusting, trusting completely-
The one who just loves you and is always near.

I am your guide, your friend and your saviour
I walk beside you lighting the way
You are my dream, my child, you’re my vision
The promise, the future of each bright new day.

I hear your voice in the still of the morning,
I hear you whisper sweet secrets to me,
I’ll follow your path never fearing or doubting-
That I will be safe whatever may be.

Cause I know you are my friend, my guide and my saviour,
I know you are beside me lighting my way,
I am your dream, your child, and your vision,
The promise the future of each bright new day.

Then give me your hand child and lets walk together
Down highways and byways  and over the seas,
Singing our song in the still of the morning,
Soothing and healing a world that’s not free.
